Hi, I’m Inés Olivares
I’m a BACP Accredited psychodynamic and integrative therapist, and the founder of Navigate Wellbeing.
Over the years, one of the things I’ve noticed most throughout my work is how often relationships sit at the centre of emotional difficulties. The way we connect with others can deeply affect how we feel about ourselves, our lives, and the world around us.
I believe our quality of life is deeply shaped by the quality of our relationships.
What drew me to this way of working was the opportunity to look beyond symptoms alone and understand where people’s reactions may come from, how past experiences may be influencing them, and how therapy can help people feel less stuck in unhealthy or repetitive patterns.
I’m also interested in themes around meaning, identity, grief, and life transitions, and in the ways people experience periods of change, uncertainty, or emotional pain throughout life.
The therapeutic relationship & my approach
My work is psychodynamic and integrative, which means we look at how past and present experiences may connect, and how they may be influencing the way you feel, respond, or relate to yourself and others today.
Together, we explore the experiences, emotions, and relational dynamics that may be contributing to the difficulties you’re currently facing. Rather than taking a distant or passive role, I work collaboratively with you throughout the process, offering reflections and emotional engagement within the work.
Although my core training is psychodynamic, my wider clinical training and experience have included work across different therapeutic models, including cognitive and behavioural approaches. I see value in integrating different ways of working when these feel supportive and clinically appropriate for the person.
For me, the core of the work is the relationship that we build. I believe meaningful change becomes more possible within a therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, openness, and emotional safety.
Billingual therapist
I offer therapy in English and Spanish.
For many people, speaking in their first language can make it easier to express emotions, connect with past experiences, and feel more fully understood.
Format
Online therapy.
Sessions take place weekly or bi-weekly and last 60 minutes.
I offer a free initial consultation, where we can talk about what’s bringing you to therapy and see whether working together feels like the right fit.
